Day 1 - Sounio

EMBARKATION

Embarkation at 17:00 and direct departure for the Cape of Sounio with is 6 miles from the Olympic Marine.  You can anchor in the Cape of Sounio under the Poseidona Temple and enjoy the sunset that you will always keep in your heart.

 

KYTHNOS OR THERMIA 25 MILES

Kythnos is also called Thermia because of the thermal springs that it has. You can stay in Loutra, a charming seaside village in the northeast of Kythnos, well known for its natural thermal springs and peaceful atmosphere. You can enjoy a relaxing swim in the clear waters, visit the famous hot springs, and explore the small harbour with its traditional tavernas and cafés. 

SYROS 29 MILES

Syros has very beautiful and sandy beaches and big, natural ports.  The city of Syros, is the Capital City of the Cyclades.  You can walk on the alleys of the new and old town, where you can enjoy Greek tastes by overlooking the beauties of the island that has been inhabited since 3500BC.

 
 

PAROS, naousa 23  MILES

Paros is a beautiful Cycladic island that you will always remember for its clear blue waters, shallow sandy beaches and charming villages. Discover the wonderful fishing village of Naousa, famous for its picturesque harbour, traditional Cycladic architecture and lively atmosphere.

NAXOS 8 MILES 

Naxos is the largest island of Cyclades and has long, endless, sandy beaches and beautiful, traditional mountain villages.  From its port you can visit the castle and spend a wonderful time in its beautiful alleys and shopping stores.   Naxos is also famous for its traditional products, such as cheese and potatoes that are worth to try in every occasion.

Above all, don’t forget to take a lot of pictures at the entrance of Naxos port, in the famous Portara.

 
 

SHOINOUSA 18 MILES

Shinoussa is a small and peaceful island of the Small Cyclades, known for its beautiful bays and crystal-clear turquoise waters. You can enjoy a swim at Livadi or Tsigouri Beach, relax in one of the quiet anchorages and explore Chora, the island’s small traditional village. In the evening, enjoy fresh local food in a traditional taverna and experience the peaceful atmosphere of this authentic Cycladic island.

HERAKLIA 2 MILES

Heraklia is a quiet and unspoiled island, ideal for nature lovers and those looking for a more authentic Greek island experience. Discover the beautiful bay of Agios Georgios, enjoy a swim in the crystal-clear waters and explore the small village with its traditional tavernas. The island is also known for its natural beauty, hiking paths and impressive caves, including the famous Cave of Agios Ioannis.

FOLEGANDROS 30 MILES

Folegandros is one of the most impressive islands of the Cyclades, famous for its dramatic cliffs and breathtaking views of the Aegean Sea. Visit the beautiful Chora, one of the most picturesque villages in Greece, and wander through its narrow streets and charming squares. Enjoy a swim at Agali Beach or discover secluded beaches by boat, before ending the day with a drink or traditional dinner while enjoying the spectacular sunset.

Polyaigos – kimolos 21 MILES

Sail to Polyaigos, one of the largest uninhabited islands in the Cyclades, famous for its untouched landscape, impressive rock formations, and exceptionally clear blue waters. Stop in one of its sheltered bays for a refreshing swim and time to relax in the peaceful surroundings. Afterwards, continue to nearby Kimolos, a traditional Cycladic island known for its whitewashed houses, narrow streets, quiet atmosphere, and authentic local character. Spend the evening exploring Chorio, enjoy dinner at a local taverna, and stay overnight in Kimolos.

MILOS 12 MILES

Milos is the island where the statue of Aphrodite of Milos was found.  Is a unique island since it is volcanic, but also because it has a horseshoe shape.  Because of its shape, it has many different, unique beaches, and Kleftiko is a pirate refuge that will amaze you with its unique rocky caves, the crystal-clear water and the golden sand.  You can enjoy your evening by navigating the city of Kimolos and enjoy the Mediterranean cuisine that you will love.

SIFNOS, KAMARES (SIFNOS PORT) 6 MILES

The castle area of Sifnos is unique due to its medieval architecture and it has many choices to visit with beautiful beaches, white houses and little churches that you will love.  Also, Sifnos, has a long tradition in pottery and cooking since it is the birthplace of Nikos Tselementes the top Greek chef of 20th century.  At the same time, the wide use of potteries, Sifnos has became famous for the Mastelo cheese, that it took its name from the pottery name its cooked and the chickbeas (revithada)

SERIFOS 11 MILES

Serifos has many beaches for you to enjoy a swim, that are famous for their natural beauty, crystal-clear waters like Koutala, Psili Ammos.  At night you can stay at anchorage and enjoy the view of the town, or you can go at the port with the taverns, or you can visit the amphitheater town of Serifos and walk around the alleys and enjoy the view from the higher place of the island.

KYTHNOS, merihas 20 miles

At Kythnos, you can stay at Merihas port and proceed to the beautiful graphic town of the island for a walk or to sail around the island that has over than 60 sandy beaches with crystal-clear water.  One of the most beautiful beaches of Cycladic Island is at Kythnos, it is called Kolones and you can even spend the night there.

 
 

olympic MARINe 20 MILES

After exploring the beautiful Cyclades, it is time to return to Olympic Marine in Lavrion. Enjoy your final morning at sea with a last swim in the crystal-clear waters before heading back to the marina. Take in the views of the Aegean one last time and enjoy the memories of an unforgettable week aboard your catamaran.
